Mahama Embarks on 'Resetting Ghana Tour' in Volta Region to Inspect Projects and Engage Communities

President John Dramani Mahama is set to begin a high-profile tour of the Volta Region from July 16 to 18, as part of his nationwide 'Resetting Ghana' and 'Accounting to the People' initiatives. A centerpiece of the President's itinerary is the inspection of several key development projects aimed at boosting the regional economy. This includes a visit to the Ho Sports Stadium, where plans are underway to upgrade the facility to FIFA Category B standards, significantly enhancing sports infrastructure in the Volta Region. Additionally, the President will perform a sod-cutting ceremony for a '24-Hour Economy Market' and inspect ongoing construction at the Ho Technical University, which features an active AstroTurf project. Ahead of the visit, Volta Regional Minister James Gunu hosted a breakfast meeting with the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) in Ho to reaffirm the essential partnership between the government and the media. Minister Gunu praised the professionalism of local journalists and emphasized their vital role in public information and regional development. He reiterated the government's commitment to completing the Volta and Oti GJA Press Centre Phase II project, stressing that accurate media coverage is crucial for ensuring transparency during the President's review of regional achievements.
