Bola Tinubu to launch 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to officially commence his 2027 presidential re-election campaign in Kaduna State on October 24. This early announcement marks the beginning of the formal political outreach by the incumbent administration as it prepares for the next electoral cycle. The selection of Kaduna for the campaign's kick-off indicates the high priority the ruling party is placing on northern mobilization and regional engagement as part of its national strategy. The confirmation of the campaign schedule was provided by Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who serves as the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council. Senator Yari disclosed the information following a high-level meeting with the President at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. The discussions at the villa centered on the logistical frameworks and the broader preparations required for a series of upcoming state visits that will define the early stages of the re-election bid. The meeting between the President and the campaign leadership highlights the administration's focus on a structured and early start to the 2027 contest. By setting a firm date for the Kaduna launch, the APC aims to streamline its preparations for the various state visits planned across the federation. Further details regarding the campaign's itinerary and the specific objectives of the state visits are expected to be unveiled as the October 24 launch date approaches.
