Emmanuel Frimpong, a 29-year-old labourer, has been sentenced to 10 months in prison by the Kwadaso Circuit Court for stealing GH¢12,000. The theft occurred on January 7, 2026, when Frimpong, who was employed at a Unilever distribution company, deceived a mobile money vendor into handing over the cash intended for his employer, Blackjew Appiah. After collecting the money, Frimpong absconded to Cape Coast, where he spent several days before being arrested in Wromanso following a police report. He pleaded guilty to the charges during the court proceedings, which were presided over by Mr. Jephthah Appau. Police Chief Inspector David Opoku Kwabi provided details of the case, highlighting the swift actions taken by law enforcement to apprehend Frimpong after the theft was reported.
