The Kumasi Evangel Choir from Ghana has successfully concluded a five-nation concert tour across Europe and Asia, showcasing the rich heritage of Ghanaian choral music. The tour kicked off in Vienna, Austria, with a notable performance at the Sounds of the Basilica Concert on December 17, 2025. Following Vienna, the choir performed in several major cities, including Prague, Hamburg, and Berlin, before wrapping up their tour in Poland. In addition to the European leg, a segment of the choir also toured the USA during this period.
Dr. Albert Adusei Dua, the choir's director, emphasized that the primary goal of the tour was to promote Ghanaian choral music on a global stage and to foster partnership opportunities. The choir, originally established in 2012 as the Celestial Evangel Choir, rebranded in 2022 to better reflect its cultural identity. Since 2014, they have been actively involved in charitable initiatives, particularly supporting children afflicted with cancer. Looking ahead, the choir is set to celebrate its 15th anniversary next year with various activities, including a concert featuring the renowned gospel artist Diana Hamilton.
