Ghana Medical Trust Fund Bolsters Prisons Service with Major Medical Supply Donation

The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has officially handed over a full shipping container of essential medical supplies to the Ghana Prisons Service, marking a significant intervention aimed at upgrading healthcare delivery within the nation’s correctional facilities. This donation forms part of a broader mission to ensure that equitable healthcare access is extended to every Ghanaian citizen, irrespective of their legal status or location. Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, the Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, emphasized that the health of the prison population is inextricably linked to the health of the general public.
