GBA President Celebrates Success of 2025 Africa Basketball Festival as a Key Milestone

The President of the Ghana Basketball Association (GBA), Alex Kukula, has hailed the successful staging of the 2025 Africa Basketball Festival, calling it a significant milestone for the growth of basketball across the continent. Kukula expressed gratitude to RITE Sports Services and the Local Organizing Committee for their effective management of the event, which showcased a competitive spirit, particularly from the Nigerian team. He emphasized the importance of integrating sports into Ghana's festive December activities to boost tourism and engage the youth. The festival, which received support from the GBA and the Ghana Tourism Authority, was hosted by the University of Ghana Sports & Wellness Directorate. A highlight of the festival was the Spintex Knights' victory in the Bitcoin Classics, which, along with positive fan reception, contributed to the overall success of the event. Kukula reaffirmed the GBA's commitment to promoting basketball and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the sport plays a vital role in December celebrations in Ghana.
