AFC Bournemouth has officially signed 19-year-old Brazilian striker Rayan from Vasco da Gama for an initial fee of £24.7 million, which could increase to £30.3 million with performance-related add-ons. This transfer follows the recent departure of Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City for approximately £65 million. Rayan, who scored 14 goals in 34 matches last season and is a Brazil under-20 international, expressed his enthusiasm about joining the club and contributing to its sporting ambitions. In addition to Rayan, Bournemouth has also secured a loan deal for Greek goalkeeper Christos Mandas from Lazio, which includes an option to purchase him for £16 million at the end of the season. This move marks Bournemouth's second-largest transfer in its history, following the signing of Evanilson for £32 million.
