Blue Origin Unveils TeraWave: A New Satellite Network to Compete with Starlink
Blue Origin, the aerospace company founded by Jeff Bezos, has announced its ambitious TeraWave initiative, which aims to launch over 5,400 satellites to create a new communications network. This network is designed to provide global internet access with impressive data transfer speeds of up to 6 terabits per second. Unlike competitors such as SpaceX's Starlink, which primarily targets individual consumers, TeraWave is focused on serving data centers, businesses, and government entities. The first satellite launches are anticipated to begin by the end of 2027, positioning TeraWave as a significant player in the satellite internet market.
