Renowned Ghanaian musician and non-conformist artist Wanluv the Kubolor has once again sparked public conversation with a series of candid revelations about his personal life and unconventional worldview. In recent disclosures, the artist, known for his eccentric style and barefoot lifestyle, provided a rare glimpse into his complex family structure and shared a humorous anecdote about his first encounter with organized religion. These revelations reinforce Wanluv’s reputation as one of Ghana's most provocative cultural figures, often challenging traditional societal expectations regarding family and faith.
Central to the recent discussions is Wanluv’s disclosure regarding his large and diverse family. The musician revealed that he is a father to a total of 15 children. This household structure includes nine biological children born to seven different women, alongside six children he has adopted. Despite his extensive experience with fatherhood and his relationships with the mothers of his children, Wanluv remains firm in his stance against the institution of marriage. He explicitly stated that he has no intention of marrying any of the women, citing a deep-seated fear or aversion to the traditional marital contract.
In addition to his family news, Wanluv took to Instagram on October 1, 2026, to share a lighthearted story from his past regarding his first-ever visit to a church. He recounted that the experience took an unexpected turn when he was "honorably mistaken" for Jesus Christ by members of the congregation. Given Wanluv’s signature long hair, beard, and habit of wearing wraps while walking barefoot, the confusion among the congregants highlights the artist's unique aesthetic. The video, which has since circulated widely on social media, showcases the musician's characteristic wit and his penchant for sharing stories that blur the lines between celebrity and satire.
These latest stories from Wanluv the Kubolor serve as a reminder of his enduring role as a counter-cultural icon in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. By openly discussing his non-traditional family life and poking fun at religious encounters, he continues to push the boundaries of what is considered conventional in public life. As these disclosures circulate among fans and critics alike, they prompt a broader dialogue about modern fatherhood, personal freedom, and the intersection of celebrity identity with religious and social traditions in contemporary West Africa.
