Seventeen suspects, including three military personnel, have been arrested in Tamale for possession of suspected Indian hemp and other illicit substances. The arrests were made by the Inspector-General of Police's Special Operations Team during patrols in various areas of the city. Notably, the military personnel were handed over to the Military Police Command for further action. According to DSP Bawah Abdul Jalil, the operation has successfully disrupted the circulation of narcotics in Tamale, thereby enhancing public confidence in the police force.
