The John Emmanuel Kofi Quansah family has publicly defended KOANS Building Solutions and its CEO, Kofi Anokye, against allegations of illegal land acquisition in Kyekyewere. During a press conference held to clarify the situation, the family asserted that the land in question was legally granted to the company for estate development purposes. They explicitly denied claims that the property was stolen or acquired through illegitimate means, standing firmly behind the transaction with Mr. Anokye.
Providing historical context to support their ownership, the family's Principal Elder, Nii Otoo Hortoi II, explained that the land was originally acquired by their great-grandfather in 1890. The family cited a 1914 Supreme Court judgment as definitive proof of their long-standing legal right to the property. According to the elder, this judicial landmark affirmed their historical ownership and granted them the full authority required to sell the land for development.
In response to ongoing disputes, the family has challenged dissenters to move their grievances from public accusations to the judicial system. Nii Otoo Hortoi II encouraged anyone questioning the validity of the sale to seek legal recourse through the proper court channels. The family emphasized that they remain committed to the legal process and the transparency of their dealings, urging critics to produce legal evidence if they intend to persist with their claims of land theft.
