Patience Abbah Named Inaugural "Mama G" Winner as Geisha Honors Selfless Community Leaders

In a vibrant celebration of community service and maternal care, Ms. Patience Abbah has been crowned the winner of Geisha’s first-ever ‘Mama G’ initiative. The finale, held in Accra on June 14, 2026, marked the culmination of a six-week campaign designed to identify and honor women who make extraordinary impacts through selfless acts of kindness and sacrifice. Ms. Abbah emerged as the top choice following a competitive process involving public nominations and voting, which sought to recognize those whose influence extends beyond biological motherhood into the wider community.

For her remarkable contributions, Ms. Abbah was awarded a comprehensive prize package including an all-expenses-paid trip to Zanzibar, GHS 30,000 in cash, GHS 5,000 in shopping vouchers, and a six-month supply of Geisha soap. The initiative, launched during the Mother’s Day season, narrowed down a vast pool of nominees to ten finalists. While Ms. Abbah took the top honor, the first and second runners-up also received significant cash prizes and rewards for their dedicated service, highlighting the initiative's goal of celebrating various forms of community leadership.

Ms. Abbah’s victory was anchored in her touching story of intervention for a family facing eviction, an act that Geisha Brand Manager, Ms. Ernestina Agbozo, described as embodying the spirit of the campaign.
