The Ghana Police have arrested Paa Kwesi, the grandson of a tenant, in connection with the death of landlady Madam Charlotte in Agona Nyakrom. The incident unfolded following a confrontation regarding human waste dumped outside Madam Charlotte's room. Initially, the argument did not escalate, but tensions rose when Paa Kwesi allegedly assaulted her with a belt. After the attack, Madam Charlotte's health deteriorated due to complications related to high blood pressure, leading to her death shortly after being taken to the hospital. Paa Kwesi fled the scene but was later apprehended by police, who acted on intelligence. He claims that the incident was accidental and is currently assisting with ongoing investigations. Madam Charlotte's body has been sent to the Agona Swedru Mortuary for an autopsy, as the case raises concerns about sanitation and communal living in the area.
