
Seventeen students from Northeastern University in Boston have donated a significant cache of educational materials to Bonwire Primary School in the Ashanti Region, aimed at supporting students ahead of the 2026/2027 academic year. Led by Dr. Vanessa Dianna Johnson, an Associate Professor of Applied Psychology, the delegation provided essential supplies including backpacks, exercise books, and various hygiene products. This initiative was designed to alleviate the financial burdens faced by local families and to ensure that children are well-equipped when schools reopen this September.\n\nThe donation ceremony, which formed part of an extensive academic exchange program, was met with great appreciation from the local school administration. Mrs. Akua Serwah Boateng, the headmistress of Bonwire Primary School, expressed strong optimism that the provision of these materials would lead to a noticeable boost in student attendance.
