Addressing the graduating class, she emphasized that proficiency in emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics is no longer optional but a necessity for staying competitive in a rapidly evolving global job market. The ceremony served as a critical platform to highlight the intersection of traditional academic excellence and the demands of the fourth industrial revolution. Nana Bampoe Addo underscored the government's commitment to creating a robust digital ecosystem, pointing to significant investments in cybersecurity and the strategic launch of Ghana’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2025-2035. She explained that this framework is designed to integrate AI across various sectors of the economy, ensuring that the nation remains at the forefront of technological innovation. By urging the graduates to adapt to these technological disruptions, she highlighted that the degrees earned are foundations upon which they must build specialized technical skills to navigate the future of work effectively. Echoing the call for excellence, GIMPA Rector Professor Samuel Kwaku Bonsu encouraged the graduates to serve as worthy ambassadors of the institution. He reminded them that their conduct and professional contributions in their respective fields would reflect the quality of training received at GIMPA. Adding a personal perspective to the milestone, the congregation’s top graduate, Ms. Samuela Amma Boakye-Appiah, shared her transformative journey, expressing gratitude for the academic environment that prepared her and her peers for the challenges ahead while urging her fellow alumni to remain resilient. The congregation concludes at a pivotal time for Ghana's education sector as institutions increasingly align their curricula with national digital goals. The emphasis on AI and robotics aligns with broader efforts to bridge the skills gap and foster an innovation-driven economy. As these graduates enter the professional world, the integration of high-level administrative education with cutting-edge technology remains a critical pillar for Ghana’s sustainable development and global standing.
