The nationwide rollout follows a successful pilot program conducted between October and January, which saw participation from over 18,000 customers. Feedback from the pilot phase was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the speed and efficiency of the self-service model. Local authorities and police officials have commended the initiative, noting its potential to drastically reduce SIM-related fraud. By automating the verification process through biometrics, the system removes the human error and potential manipulation often associated with manual agent-assisted swaps.
