Search Intensifies for 20-Year-Old Kombat Yaw Yiremiah Following Drowning at Ghana-Togo Border

Tragedy struck the border community between Ghana and Togo on August 16, 2026, when 20-year-old Kombat Yaw Yiremiah drowned while helping travellers cross a river separating the two nations. The young man was reportedly assisting individuals in navigating the water when he was swept away by the current.
