Koku Anyidoho Criticizes Prof. Prempeh's Media Engagements Following CRC Report Submission

Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has publicly criticized Professor Henry Kwasi Prempeh, the Chairman of the Constitutional Review Committee (CRC), for his recent media engagements after submitting the committee's report to President John Dramani Mahama. Anyidoho expressed concern that Prempeh's extensive commentary could undermine the integrity of the CRC's work. This criticism comes amid ongoing tensions between Prempeh and former Attorney General Martin Amidu, who has accused Prempeh of harboring anti-NDC sentiments. Professor Prempeh was appointed to lead the CRC on January 19, 2025, with the mandate to review the 1992 Constitution and propose necessary amendments. Anyidoho has advised Prempeh to refrain from further public commentary, urging him to allow the government to handle the report's implications.
