Tragic Road Accident on Kibi–Suhum Road Claims One Life and Injures Three

A tragic road traffic accident occurred on January 12, 2026, at Owura Twum along the Kibi–Suhum Road, resulting in the death of one female and injuries to three others. The incident involved an Opel Vectra that overturned after its rear tyre burst. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle landed upside down in nearby bushes. Emergency services, including a seven-member team from the Ghana National Fire Service, responded promptly to the scene. They retrieved the deceased and transported the injured—a male and two females—to the Kibi Government Hospital for treatment. The body of the deceased was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation, while efforts were made to clear the accident scene and restore traffic flow.
