Revival of Juapong Textile Industry Promises Job Creation in North Tongu

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has expressed optimism about the revival of the Juapong Textile Industry, which has been dormant for over a decade. Speaking at a Christmas event, Ablakwa highlighted the government's commitment to reactivating the factory, which is expected to create significant employment opportunities for the local youth. He revealed that discussions are underway with the Minister for Trade to establish a public-private partnership aimed at supporting the factory's revival. This initiative could potentially provide jobs for over 100,000 people and help mitigate job losses associated with fabric imports. In addition to the textile revival, Ablakwa emphasized ongoing infrastructure and educational projects in North Tongu, reflecting the administration's dedication to regional development.
