IGP Christian Tetteh Yohuno Promotes Four Officers for Dismantling Upper West Robbery Syndicate

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has announced the promotion of four police officers in recognition of their exceptional roles in dismantling a major armed robbery syndicate in the Upper West Region. The promotions follow a highly successful, intelligence-led operation conducted by the Upper West Regional Police Command, which effectively neutralized a criminal network that had been operating in the Wa West District and Wa Municipality. The IGP and the Police Management Board cited the officers' bravery and dedication as the primary reasons for their immediate advancement in rank.

The promoted personnel include General Corporal Mortsi Kwashie Divine, Detective Corporal Salifu Ishmael Aketisiwin, General Lance Corporal Ernest Ameyaw Akumfi, and General Lance Corporal John Bekaar Vitus. These officers were instrumental in the tactical execution of the mission that led to the arrest of six suspects involved in a series of armed robbery cases.
