Gideon Doe Adifu Sentenced to 15 Years for Defiling and Impregnating His Daughter

Gideon Doe Adifu, a 40-year-old fashion designer from Agbedrafor, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Sogakope Circuit Court for defiling and impregnating his 14-year-old daughter. The court, presided over by Mr. Joseph Nadaado, imposed a 10-year sentence for the charge of defilement and an additional 5 years for incest, with both sentences to run concurrently. The abuse reportedly began in 2022 and came to light when the victim's mother discovered her daughter's pregnancy. Following a medical examination that confirmed the abuse, Adifu was arrested after confessing to the charges during the trial.
