GHANBATT 92 Peacekeepers Return to Accra After Successful Mission in Southern Lebanon

Six hundred and fifteen personnel of the Ghana Battalion 92 (GHANBATT 92) have successfully returned to Accra after completing a high-stakes peacekeeping mission with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The contingent arrived at the Kotoka International Airport to a warm reception, marking the end of a deployment characterized by both significant operational challenges and professional triumphs. Despite the escalating volatility in Southern Lebanon, the battalion was commended for its unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in a region deeply affected by ongoing hostilities.
