The staff of Development Bank Ghana (DBG) have demonstrated their commitment to community support through a series of impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives during the festive season. Over the past three years, DBG employees have pooled resources to assist underprivileged families and promote environmental sustainability.
The staff were organized into three teams focusing on different areas of support. Team D concentrated on education and inclusion, donating learning kits, sanitary pads, and educational materials to institutions such as the Awoshie Islamic Community School and the Akropong School for the Blind. Team B provided vital assistance to new mothers at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital by settling medical bills for 20 mothers and presenting hampers to an additional 60. Meanwhile, Team G cleared medical debts for over 20 mothers and babies at Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital and supplied essential food and medicinal items to more than 100 families.
Barbara Anawonu Wricketts, Head of CSR at DBG, commended the staff for their generous contributions, emphasizing that these initiatives embody the bank’s values and commitment to sustainable and inclusive development across Ghana.
