Tragic Crane Accident in Northeastern Thailand Claims 22 Lives

A devastating accident occurred in northeastern Thailand on Wednesday when a construction crane fell onto a passenger train, resulting in at least 22 fatalities and injuring 64 others. The crane, which was part of a project for an elevated high-speed railway, collapsed while the train was en route from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani province. This incident caused the train to derail and catch fire, prompting immediate rescue efforts. Transport Minister Piphat Ratchakitprakan confirmed that there were 195 passengers on board at the time of the accident and has ordered a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Rescuers are currently working to locate individuals who may be trapped inside the wreckage of the train.
