The violent encounter resulted in two deaths and three injuries. Following the incident, police successfully arrested nine suspects who are currently in custody as investigations continue. In a separate incident at Kawanpe, firefighters from the Buipe Fire Station prevented a potential catastrophe when a tanker carrying 54,000 litres of petrol caught fire. On the N1 highway, the Mankessim-Accra section was the site of a fatal road crash at Abor Junction involving a Toyota Voxy. Rescue teams from the Mankessim Fire Station assisted in the recovery efforts, though the precise cause of the vehicle's crash remains under investigation by the relevant authorities.
