Anthony Joshua Returns to UK After Fatal Car Crash in Nigeria

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has returned to the UK following a tragic car accident in Nigeria that resulted in the deaths of his close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele. The incident occurred when the Lexus SUV Joshua was traveling in collided with a stationary truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Joshua sustained minor injuries and was treated in a local hospital before being discharged shortly after the accident.

The driver of the vehicle, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He appeared in court and was granted bail pending further legal proceedings, with the case adjourned until January 20. President Bola Tinubu expressed condolences following the incident, highlighting the tragic loss of life. The funerals for Joshua's friends are scheduled to take place in London on Sunday.
