KAIPTC Launches Inaugural Executive Travel Security Course to Enhance Traveler Safety
The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) has officially launched its inaugural Executive Travel Security Course, aimed at equipping executives and frequent travelers with essential skills to navigate emerging travel-related security risks. Colonel Lawrence Deku, the Director of Training at KAIPTC, emphasized the necessity of this course in light of the increasingly complex global security landscape, which includes threats such as targeted crime, terrorism, and health crises. The course is designed to provide participants with comprehensive training in critical areas including risk assessment, personal security practices, crisis management, and cybersecurity. It aims to foster individual responsibility alongside institutional duty of care, enhancing both the safety and confidence of travelers, whether for business or leisure. Colonel Deku highlighted that the initiative reflects KAIPTC's commitment to improving travel safety and instilling confidence in global movements. The program is expected to offer long-term benefits for participants by equipping them with practical tools and knowledge necessary for safer travel practices.
